About Marquand Contracting
Mike Marquand, Company owner, has been a licensed general contractor since 1976. Born and raised in Southern California, Mike attended University of Southern California and settled in Irvine in 1977. His early years in the building business included tenure with major Southland builders including Broadmoor Homes, M J Brock, and Shea Homes, among others. Mike founded and operated a real estate development firm in the mid-1980s that developed and built multi-family housing, industrial and retail projects, through the 1990s.
Leveraging that past management experience, he participated in a software start-up in 1998, acting as the CFO and Chief Operating Officer. Raising $12 million from three New York venture capital firms, the software firm successfully developed an enterprise, environmental-reporting software solution for the manufacturing industry and beachhead relationships with Ford and General Motors. The firm was acquired by a major public software firm in 2001.
Upon his return to the building industry in 2005, Mike founded Marquand Contracting Corp. Since then, he has developed the Company based on a commitment to quality, efficiency and clear communication with homeowners, as they work together to build their dream homes.

In the industry since 1976, I have the experience and dependability to make your vision a reality. I realize life doesn’t stand still while you build or remodel your home. We focus on rapid construction while maintaining an unparalleled commitment to quality and attention to detail.
As a resident of Irvine for over 35 years, I know firsthand what it means to raise a family and grow a business here. My wife and I have three daughters, and now a grandson, all born at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. The weather is great, but the community unparalleled.
